Show Goes On With U2 Tribute Band
The real Bono is down for the count due to a severe back injury, but the U2 tribute band, Hollywood U2, will gladly give fans their fix this summer to make up for U2's canceled concert tour.

HOLLYWOOD (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) Although the real Bono is out of commission, the show will go on.Joe Hier, aka Hollywood Bono, fronts the popular U2 tribute band, Hollywood U2, who tours just like the real deal, complete with costumes.
For Hier, who looks like Bono circa the Vertigo tour, it all comes naturally because hes been a devoted fan for years.
Hes seen U2 in concert at least eight times often from the front row so hes been able to study Bonos every nuance.
But while Hier dresses and sings the part, he draws the line at wearing a Bono mullet or shaving his head.
Still, he considers his band to be as close to U2 as it can get, which should please disappointed fans this summer.
He says those who had tickets to see U2 can go to Hollywood U2s concerts for a fast fix instead until the real Bono is back.
Their next show is June 6 at the Orange Country Market Place the same exact day U2 was supposed to play in the Southern California area.
