ATHLETE’S FOOT IMPROVES THE TASTE OF WINE

OPORTO, Portugal (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – You may swear off wine after hearing this: It seems athlete’s foot fungus improves the taste of wine.

Researchers at a Portuguese biotech company claim wine produced from grapes stomped by workers with athlete’s feet tastes better than grapes crushed by clean feet.

Food chemist Dr. Alberto Picarra believes there’s something in the athlete’s foot fungus that helps grapes ferment quicker while retaining a fruity flavor.

Picarra plans on isolating the compound so modern wine producers can benefit without having to hire workers with athlete’s foot.
