WHITEHORSE, Yukon Territory (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Women who don’t like to shave their legs are invited to pay a visit to the Yukon Territory next week for the annual Hairy Legs Contest in Whitehorse.
The contest is part of the 34th annual Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous, and the top prize is a set of bronzed shaving accessories mounted on a plaque. Awards will be given to the women with the longest leg hairs, the thickest leg hairs and the “most hideous” hairy female legs.
This year’s competition will be pretty “hairy” because the women of Whitehorse haven’t been shaving their leg hair for months in anticipation of the contest.
The week-long Sourdough Rendezvous festival is supposed to help snowbound residents of the Yukon shake off cabin fever.
