NORWALK, Conn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Halloween is supposed to be scary, but for some folks, Thanksgiving is even more frightening.

According to a new survey by Pepperidge Farm, 35 percent of family cooks are afraid they won’t cook the Thanksgiving meal as well as their mom, mother-in-law or grandmother.

  • 29 percent are scared their family will actually hate the dinner.

  • 27 percent fear the turkey will burn or turn out too dry.

  • 23 percent are frightened about preparing Thanksgiving dessert.

  • 21 percent are terrified they’ll mess up the stuffing.

  • And, finally, 18 percent of cooks say just the thought of preparing gravy gives them the heebie-jeebies.
