DETROIT (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Here’s an update on a name you may not have heard from in awhile: 60’s blue-eyed soul singer Mitch Ryder

Ryder – who’s best known for the 1966 hit “Devil With A Dress” – is currently working on two books about himself: one a biography being written by a journalist, the other an autobiography in his own words.

He says he hopes one of the books will get finished soon because he says he’s “practically penniless.”

Ryder’s biography will supposedly tell about his life in chronological order, while the autobiography will explain what Mitch was thinking about when he recorded hits like “Devil In A Blue Dress” and “C.C. Rider.”

Although neither book has been titled yet, Ryder says he’d like to call his autobiography – are you ready? – From ‘It’ To Shit.

Incidentally, Ryder will be turning 53 next Thursday (Feb. 26) and has a new album ready to go once he finds an American record label.
