NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Dr. Kevorkian may have his first celebrity client soon: former Family Matters star Jaleel White.

Jaleel tells the latest TV Guide that after spending nine years of his life playing nerdy “Steven Urkel,” he’s had enough.

He says that if he ever portrays character again, he hopes someone will “...put a bullet in my head and put me out of my misery. Call Dr. Kevorkian – because I’m obviously trying to commit suicide and just don’t know how to do it.”

Not that Jaleel completely hates his nerdy alter-ego. He says Urkel deserves credit for defying racial stereotypes by being the first African-American on TV to love Wayne Newton’s music and polkas.

But Jaleel says the character took its toll on him because the producers wouldn’t let him grow facial hair or even lift weights for fear his nerdish physique would be affected.

The worst part was how Urkel affected his love life. Jaleel says he was totally heartbroken when a girl he was dating asked him to “ the Urkel voice.”
