AUSTIN, Tex. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) Howd you like to live in a house made out of human hair?
The idea isnt as hair-brained as you might think, according to a barber-turned-inventor in Austin, Texas, who has devised a way to build a house out of hair.
Barber Bill Blacks new construction technique uses hair mixed with paper pulp to make an exceptionally strong form of cardboard that could be used to build light and durable hair homes.
He says the hairy homes would be cheap to heat because hair is a effective insulator.
Black has a few other uses for hair that winds up on floors of barber shops around the globe.
This spring he will introduce something called Fert- Hair-Lizer, a compost and plant food made out of, you guessed it, human hair.
