DOG OWNERS ADMIT THEY LIKE POOCHES MORE THAN OWN FAMILY

EXTON, Pa. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Here’s something to put you in the doghouse: most dog owners would rather spend time with their canine pets than with other family members.

According to a new poll conducted by Rimadyl, an arthritis drug for dogs, nearly 53 percent of dog owners say their canines make better companions than some other members of their families.

Other stats from the doggie admiration survey...

  • 83 percent of dog owners think losing their dog would be as painful as losing a family member.

  • 50 percent of dog owners admit they often change their schedules to accommodate the needs of their dogs.

  • And, finally, 40 percent have as many pictures of their dog as they do of other family members.
