SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you’re dog acts like a nervous Nellie, try changing the color of the dog’s water or food bowl.

That’s according to Shelley Deegan, an expert in the Chinese art of feng shui, who says dogs respond to the vibrations of colors in different ways – even though canines are color blind.

A green colored doggie dish will mellow out a pooch who constantly yaps in the middle of the night and will bring out its creative side. It’s also good if you want to turn your pooch into an animal actor like Lassie.

Deegan says lazy dogs who need a jump start should have a dog dish that is red, pink, purple or orange.

If your dog is finicky, a dark blue dog bowl will make the pooch more flexible and able to handle change.

And, finally, if your dog is asthmatic or recovering from surgery, Deegan suggests serving water in a yellow bowl.
