NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) Heres some news Mike Tyson doesnt want to hear: millions of Americans may soon be suing him for chewing Evander Holyfields ear.
The New York State Supreme Court recently certified a class action suit against Tyson, who was disqualified last summer in the boxing match where he chomped on Holyfields ear.
The suit claims that when Tyson ate the ear, millions of Americans were deprived of the value of the fight they paid for.
Attorney Stephanie Carfley says as many as two million people are eligible to be part of the suit, which potentially involves millions of dollars. Defendants in the suit besides Tyson include Don King, Showtime, and Viacom International.
If you want to participate in the class action suit, you must have attended the fight in Las Vegas or paid to watch it on pay- per-view television. Cable companies, satellite dish subscribers and closed circuit outlets who ordered the event are also eligible to participate
