SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Wife-swapping may have gone out with the ‘70s, but not among the Eskimo people.

According to a new book of vacation love stories called Travelers’ Tales: Love And Romance (Wylie Publications), Eskimo men still allow their wives to sleep with other men, and consider it an insult if the other guy declines.

Writer Lawrence Millman should know because when he was in Greenland a few years back, an Inuit man invited to spend the night in bed with his wife.

Millman ended up having sex with the lady Eskimo while her husband played cards in the next room. The next day, the man gave him a hunk of fresh seal meat as a going-away present.

Another true-life travel adventure involves a married musician performing on a cruise ship populated by wife swappers. The musician says he inadvertently offended the other guys on the cruise because he refused to cheat on his wife.

And then there’s the married couple who discovered the best way to make friends in foreign countries is by asking the local slang for “prophylactic.”
