SHENANDOAH, Pa. (Wireless Flash) Is this what the age of multiple TV channels has led to? A cable network in Pennsylvania will soon premiere an hour-long special about the worlds largest pierogy factory.
Just in case you dont know, a pierogy is a potato-and- cheese-filled dumpling that is a common staple of Eastern European diets.
The hour-long documentary shows every and we do mean EVERY step of the pierogy-making process at the Mrs. Ts pierogy factory in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. T is the queen bee of pieorgies, pumping out around 8 million of the dumplings every week.
A spokesperson for the factory describes the TV documentary as a one-camera job and kind of low-budget, but says the story of pierogy making should interest anyone who is fascinated with the inner workings of factories.
The pierogy documentary will air Sunday night (Mar. 1) on various cable channels in Pennsylvania.
