WOULD YOU WEAR HORSE MANURE PERFUME?

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (Wireless Flash) – How would you like to splash on a cologne that makes you smell like horse manure?

Believe it or not, some folks love the smell of horse droppings so much they’d love to wear it like a perfume, according to professional perfumer Nancy Booth.

Booth is the author of a new book called Perfumes, Splashes & Colognes (Storey Publishing), and she says some of her customers have actually requested manure-scented perfumes.

However, she says it’s virtually impossible to create a “poo-poo perfume,” unless you actually rub manure all over your body.

Other people have asked Booth to create gasoline-scented cologne. But, like the manure perfume, it’s impossible unless you pour gas over your head – which just isn’t safe.

Finally, Booth says one customer actually wanted her to make a perfume that smelled like black pepper. Although pepper-scented oils are available, Booth says a perfume made entirely out of the stuff would make anyone within a few feet start sneezing.
