SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) It looks like film star June Allyson will forever be associated with adult diapers.
The Kimberly-Clark corporation, which employs Allyson as a spokeswoman for its Depend brand of adult diapers, has established the June Allyson Foundation to honor the actress and increase awareness of adult incontinence.
Allyson herself is absolutely thrilled by the honor and considers it the culmination of her 13 years of spreading the word about leaky bladders. She starred in her first Depend ad in 1984 after she helped her mother through a bedwetting problem.
Although the actress had to deal with giggles when the ads first appeared, she took the bedwetting jokes in stride and, nowadays, many folks thank her for taking a stand behind such an leaky issue.
Allyson has just filmed her first new Depend ad since 1995 and says shed love to return to the big screen but only if the script is good and only if it contains clean words.
