SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) Titanic fever is now spilling over into the culinary world.
A French restaurant in San Diego says it will recreate the final meal served to First Class passengers on night the Titanic went down.
The actual gut-busting 11-course meal included shrimp canapes, oysters, consomme, pate, poached salmon, filet mignon, roast duckling, green peas, asparagus, sorbet, and chocolate eclairs.
Ed Moore, the owner of Thee Bungalow restaurant, says his Titanic recreation spread is based on actual menus retrieved from survivors of the fateful journey.
The feast will be served for the six nights leading up to the Oscar ceremonies on March 23 and costs $90 per head but that includes the services of a storyteller who will give a bite- by-bite account of the history of the doomed ship.
